What We Do?

Policy Advocacy

We champion the interests of Bangladesh’s hatchery community by working hand-in-hand with government ministries, regulators, and international partners to secure supportive policies, incentives, and development programmes that accelerate sector growth.

Quality Assurance & Standardisation

SHAB authors industry guidelines, conducts routine audits, and administers certification schemes so every member hatchery can deliver shrimp seed that meets—or exceeds—global benchmarks for health, biosecurity, and traceability.

Capacity Building & Training

From hands-on workshops in larval nutrition and disease diagnostics to executive courses in hatchery management, we equip technicians, owners, and entrepreneurs with the skills they need to innovate and scale responsibly.

Innovation & Research Hub

We seed pilot projects—such as AI-driven water-quality monitoring and climate-smart recirculating systems—and connect members with research grants and technical studies that translate cutting-edge science into real-world solutions.

Collaboration & Networking

Through conferences, study tours, and B2B matchmaking, SHAB creates the spaces where hatcheries, universities, investors, and technology providers share knowledge, forge partnerships, and unlock new markets together.
